Episode 81 -
Kristine Andali is to CrossFit what Rocky Balboa was to fictional American Boxing in the 1980’s and 1990’s. She lives the famous line from Mick to Rocky “It ain’t about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep movin’ forward!”
Kristine narrowly missed the CrossFit games in 2014 when she finished third in a region that only took two athletes to the games, Canada East. The two women who finished ahead of her, one by mere seconds went on to take 1st and 4th respectively at the 2014 Games.
The next year, 2015 Kristine was poised to get herself to (At the time) Carson California to compete at the CrossFit Games. But she tore her achilles in training. Fast forward to 2016 and she is the number 3 seed in the entire state of California, everyone knows this is her year… Until she tore both shoulder labrums on the regionals floor at the same time. 2 years and four surgeries later Kristine is finally back to getting in the mindset of competing again. With just one month of training she is sitting in the top 100 in the Northeast Region as this was recorded. She is on the comeback trail and this is the first interview of more than we have planned to document the mindset and the 2019 return of Kristine Andali.
