Cody let's me jump into his head today and really get to know him better, what makes him tick, and what he's learned from leading the team in Long Beach for almost two years.

Save time, reduce stress,

Save time, reduce stress,

Everything I talk about in this podcast is true about how I manipulate my time. I used the word manipulate on purpose.

If you listen to this episode and you apply even one thing I talk about in it you will experience less stress in your life.

What's the opposite of the victim mindset and how do we get there?

We all know people who live in the victim mindset. It's even reasonable that we've all been there ourselves.

What's on the other side, how do we get there?

Let's talk about it.

If intensity was a person, it would be Tom Degiuli

Last time Tom was on we talked about how much easier it is for him to go hard in the gym than it is for him to take time away.

Today we get into more on why that's true.

We dive into what it's like to be inside Tom's head, he gets raw, and he gets vulnerable, and it's very impressive.

I respect Tom a lot, he's a doer. I'm excited to bring him to you.

The gym is not your therapy

The gym is not your therapy

The more often people say "the gym is my therapy", the more I think "you could probably use some therapy."

On today's podcast I'm bringing it to you straight, as usual, about exactly why the gym is not therapy, what the gym is, what therapy is, and what to do to help yourself or someone else who is using this language.

Mental health struggles are already unnecessarily stigmatized, my hope is today's episode can free some minds.

A code of conduct to live by - Joey and Drew, Few Will Hunt

A code of conduct to live by - Joey and Drew, Few Will Hunt

I drove all the way out to Philly to sit down with the founders of Few Will Hunt, an identity brand that just so happens to make some bad ass apparel.

I found Joey and Drew years ago and have been following their growth since.

The reason I call them an identity brand with great apparel is because their flagship shirt reads "everybody wants to eat, but few will hunt". It's a homage to hard work, and these guys cut zero corners.

Today we talk about the beliefs behind the brand, why trusting hard work is a good idea, why they spent boatloads of money to bring every element of their product to be made in the USA, and so much more.

Losing weight, getting out of pain, and why the gym might not be where you should start

Fitness and nutrition are the topics that get all of the attention, but identity is the driver.

You probably know someone who has started and stopped on their health transformation attempts more times than a 15 year old learning to drive on a manual transmission.

In today's podcast Cody and I discuss why.

Give it five stars, would ya.

The best steaks in the USA come from this ranch, Stephen Skrenta - Acabonac Farms

Every year I buy half a cow to stock my freezer with. That's 300 pounds of beef and bones. This is the best steak I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of steak.

On today's episode I bring into studio the owner of Acabonac Farms, Stephen Skrenta. We talk about:

- Why Regenerative ranching is better for the planet, our health, and animal welfare.

- What you need to ask a Rancher if you're thinking about buying from their stock.

- The business economics of regenerative ranching.

- The emotional attachment to animals who will inevitably be taken to slaughter.

- How to slaughter animals in the most humane way possible, and why it's important we do.

The mental health of our police is in crisis

The mental health of our police is in crisis

The mentality of the public around policing is so variable. Some people are thankful for police, others think they should be defunded.

Policing has always had its hot button moments, but the last few years has been relentless on the institution at large.

On today's episode Jason Lacayo @therealjumpmanjay discusses why 2020 was a spark that was extremely detrimental to policing, the toll the job took on his mental health, and how he's using what he learned to help himself to help other first responders through the Reps for Responders organization.

Winning the superbowl, finding God, and changing lives

I met my friend, Steve Weatherford about six years ago, right before the transformation he talks about in this podcast started taking place.

I am fascinated by people who are relentlessly committed to anything, especially things I don't understand or relate to.

Steve's life has been an absolute rollercoaster and his stories of winning the superbowl and feeling empty, and finding God and feeling full is one I'll remember for a very long time.

Why it's so uncomfortable when people have to ask their husband's permission to sign up for things

It's the worst. "Let me ask my husband" or "let me ask my wife".

I've been there. I've been in the relationship phase with my wife in which we used to ask each other permission to do things for ourselves that we absolutely needed and were absolutely convicted would be beneficial to us.

It was an indicator of immaturity, and financial scarcity.

On today's episode Cody and I discuss the reasons why this happens, what to do about it, and why one of our core values indicates that we have no choice but to do it well.

How do we fix the American Education system? Jim Hallinan

How do we fix the American Education system? Jim Hallinan

The American education system is failing America. It's sit down, shut up, change rooms when the bell rings, and memorize the answers to these questions.

Similarly, it's become harder to navigate the world of relationships, and nutrition.

Today's guest, Jim Hallinan (@jimmynutrition) lives in both of these worlds, professionally. He's a physical education teacher who does more than rolling the balls out, and he's a nutrition coach who not only helps adults lose weight and repair their relationship with food, but he built a curriculum that now gets delivered in his high school.

How to gain wealth by giving - Ep 232 | Charles Weinraub

Some of the most successful people in history became successful not by pursuing success for themselves, but by pursuing it for others.

Charles Weinraub (@handsome_homebuyer) is cut from this cloth.

On today's episode Charles breaks down how he went from burnt out entrepreneur to Long Island's biggest home flipper, and landlord.

I've known Charles almost a decade and he's one of the most inspirational people I have the pleasure of being around. All he does is give, give, give. He's generous as they get, and his success is most definitely a result of that.

Charles gets vulnerable on the show today, he shares some of his darkest moments and discusses how they worked to propel him forward.

This one will get your year started right.

Have you ever met a person who has been a professional group fitness coach for long enough to call it a career, without needing a side hustle, or a significant other to support them financially, who doesn’t live at home with their parents?

Think Bigger

Think Bigger

I believe that the life we are capable of imagining is constrained by the experiences and education we have already acquired.

We can only think as big as our mind can understand. This is why it is critical to surround ourselves with people who have a wide array of desirable experiences and education that we do not yet have.

Our network collapses time strictly through friendships that have no expectation for any business growth. Just being friends with inspiring people will make all of us more inspiring.

On today's podcast, I sit down with Cody Ringle to hash this topic out.

Balance is ONLY found doing world class work

Balance is ONLY found doing world class work

"Work life balance" is a crutch used to justify laziness.

You don't know anyone who regularly thinks about creating more balance, who is doing anything worthwhile. The people you know who have the most balance in their lives are the people pursuing world class performance in everything they do.

Balance is being present, and inspired at all times, and being present and inspired at all times is world class.

Allow this episode to challenge your belief system because the reality is that we don't have beliefs, we have things we've learned, which means we can unlearn them...

All of them, should we choose.

We help people develop into the person they need and want to become in order to live a life of freedom, without compromise.

What if it's offensive? - Finding your voice and betting on yourself.

What if it's offensive? - Finding your voice and betting on yourself.

Hi, Dr. Sean here... Years ago I told my friend, Rachel Balkovec that I felt like my voice was not coming through. I was speaking like a recent school graduate applying for their first job, timid, and unclear.

I wanted to speak more like Muhammad Ali, or Steve Jobs. You may not have sensed it, but until about a month ago I was still feeling like I was speaking in someone else's voice.

I felt like for years the old me spoke so loudly, brazenly, and brashly that I needed to quiet that way down. The best analogy I can share is that I was like a TV on full volume at a bar where only some people want to watch the game. I was distracting for everyone else, and even the people watching are having a hard time with the volume.

So I turned the knob down. I pleased everyone in the room as best I could by making it impossible to hear the TV unless you were sitting right near it. That led to people leaving the bar because they wanted to go where the TV was loud enough to enjoy the game, and their friends left with them.

I was confused. What is going on and why am I not "breaking through"? What I now understand is that it's time to turn the vilume back up. Way up. It's not a bar at all, it's. night club, and I'm the music.

I compromised for years. For as long as I can remember. That guy is gone. My personal development over the last six years has been intense, impactful, and intentional. I am the best husband I know how to be, the best father I know how to be, the best boss I know how to be, the best everything I know how to be, and I'm going to be even better tomorrow.

Welcome to the club.

Let's dance.
